| Great Dane is a bit
of a misnomer. While the dogs certainly are great—in size, beauty and loyalty,
they don't have anything to do with Denmark. The dogs were bred beginning
1500 years ago, from huge mastiffs capable of killing bears and boars.
Now a well-trained Great Dane is quite a gentle creature. Absolutely awesome
in stature, reaching up to 160 pounds. |
